What is the best way to eliminate error collection agency credit?
I received a notice from a collection agency that I've had. My name is still misspelled. It appeared on my credit card (I TransUnion verified to date). Should I first try to challenge the error directly in the credit bureaus or send a letter to the collection agency (if any, which is a good model for the letter.) Furthermore, it has been over a year since I was placed for collection (I thought that the tests are spam and that my name is misspelled). Is this a problem? Thanks.
