Credit Score changes depending on site?
I have my credit monitored, and they provide me a copy of my credit report as well as all three credit scores every month, on the same day each month, well I am looking at buying a new car, and I wanted to see what it was on another site, just curious, so I payed another company to pull mine for me, on the same day that I pull mine from my normal company but needless to say when I compared the two, the credit scores are off, by like 20 points on two of them and 7 points on one. Why would one monitoring system show all three credit scores one way and another shows them another way, everything that is reported on the actual credit report is the same.
Credit monitoring services use Fakko scores. Each has their own formula. They do not want to pay the fees for a real FICO score. Creditors use FICO. Paying for anything other than FICO is a complete waste of money. Likewise, there really isn’t a need to check your scores every month. Unless your personal info has been compromised, paying for monitoring services is a waste of money.
You can get FICO scores for TransUnion and Equifax at MyFico.com. Consumers can no longer get FICO scores for Experian.
Even with real FICO scores, they are likely to fluctuate on a daily basis as creditors update to the credit bureaus. You score in the morning could be different from the score in the afternoon.
