correct credit report mistakes
What to do if the IRS puts an erroneous lien on your credit report?

I have a situation where the IRS made an error and put a lien on my credit report that should not have ever happened. The error itself with the IRS has since been corrected (they sent me a letter of removal of lien and also acknowledged their mistake) but the lien that they originally put on is still sitting right on my credit report under “public records” and is causing me harm when I try and get credit.
