66% of politicians, said Geithner is good / excellent VS. 11% of the population in general?

Why do you think is a big gap? We the people are too stupid to understand the genius of Geithner, or United States government has ceased to represent the people? http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/march_2009/political_class_gives_geithner_good_reviews_most_americans_disagree 76% have a favorable opinion of him. Two thirds (66%) of the political class, "says Geithner is a good or excellent job managing the credit crisis and bailouts the federal government. However, the latest poll by Rasmussen Reports national telephone found that American populists see things from an angle entirely different. Only 12% of the population have a favorable opinion of Mr. Geithner, and only 11% say it makes an excellent or good job.

The political class has no choice but to support it. Most of them have a direct interest in its success. It is my position that many of them benefit [directly or indirectly, money] to distribute Geithner, then why not support him?
