Consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act?
Last year, I contacted some insurance companies to quotes auto and home insurance. Then select one of the company. I guess we all do from time to time. I recently received a letter from one company. The letter said they could not give me a quote or coverage, because of information obtained from ChoicePoint Consumer Insurance Center. In fact, I get an appointment, but I ignored it. I was told I could get a free copy of my consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act I understand that you can get a credit report if the credit applications and loans denied. I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience, and if the consumer report is another way to gather information from people. Thanks.
Credit reports are used to determine if the credit or insurance would be issued. Therefore, if you are refused by a creditor or insurance company the basis of your credit, you can receive your free report.
