Concerned about possible identity theft?
We recently completed an application to rent an apartment (a private tenant). We must give our information to a credit check and so on. I do not think anything today, when I saw that had already deposited the check and so on, knowing that has received the audit history yet. Let's get the keys on Tuesday. So now I'm paranoid that it is not legitimate (even if the neighbor knew) and asks whether to add a fraud alert on our credit reports. All tips can offer would be great, thanks!
I put a fraud alert on my credit report, but I do not think there was something wrong with the owner. You have to protect yourself against theft.
