Having trouble to correct your credit history?

bad credit report can prevent AA obtaining credit. If you have difficulty in obtaining credit, it may be due to a credit agency has issued a negative report in your body. You may be able to obtain a copy of its report and, if it contains false information – it is correct.

If you are denied credit you are entitled to a free copy credit report to consumers, which was the basis for the denial. The lender must provide the name of the credit bureau that prepared the report you. You should request a copy of your credit file with the agency within sixty days of the denial.

The three main reporting agencies credit are:

Experian (800) 301-7195
Equifax (800) 525-6285
Trans Union (800) 680-7289

When the creditor tells you the name of the reporting agency that furnished the report, call to find out your address. Then write a letter to the applicant organization a copy of your report.

Even if they have not been denied credit, probably a good idea to review your credit report for accuracy periodically. They often contain errors, and when you want get a loan, you can not have the time to correct. Because not been denied credit, the report is not free.

What information in a credit report?

In general, your credit report contains information about your credit history for the past seven years. It says following:

What do you borrowed money
The amount of debt
Whether or not to make promised payment on time and in full
The identity of a creditor who has requested information about you

You have the right to dispute the completeness and accuracy of some elements in the report.

Write a letter to the Credit agency explain some of the information contained in the report is incomplete or inaccurate. The agency must investigate your claim – without charge – within thirty days. The agency is required to remove any information is inaccurate or whose accuracy can not be verified.

If the investigation by reporting agency Credit does not resolve the dispute, you have the right to send the agency a brief statement (generally 100 words or less) explaining your position. His statement will become part of your credit report and disclosed to creditors and other information in the file.
