When I was 16 I did something very stupid. I had a trial with GameFly (like Netflix, but for video games) and forgot to return the game and the end of my essay (VERY. me very stupid. … I know LOL). Me and my father have the same name, then figurered with your name, so I gave a lecture and said he would pay. But he never did so. Turns out, as I thought it was under my name and now I have 18 years and still owes $ 100. How will my credit search?!?!
Have you used the account at any time after age 18? was in the form default when you turned 18? They insist it is YOUR account and not your father, right? Cool. Send a letter informing them that you are a minor and not legally responsible debt. Therefore can not legally put this in your credit file. Check your credit report and make sure it is not in him. If so, played with them, saying it was minor. This should solve the problem.
