My Brother’s GF is trying to hide her car from repossession agent, how stupid is that???!!!?
She can’t afford it anymore, I have a car for her to use so she will not be without transportation. HOWEVER, she wants to continue driving her car as long as possible. Her car is not registered to her address (she moved out of state since she purchased it) and all of her corrospondance goes back to her old address (her sister’s house). Her lienholder literally has no clue where she is. This ticks me off. I told her to just turn the thing in, as they will find her soon enough and it looks better. Her response is to make them work for it. Honestly, how long can she drag this crap out? Can it effect her sister (she uses her sisters house as a home address) in any way? This girl just makes me SO MAD!!! I tried telling my brother that her antics will effect hem ever being able to buy a home, and that employers often run credit reports on job applicants!!! How long can she keep this up??!!
Eventually, she will get caught. It could be something as simple as getting pulled over for a speeding ticket or as big as applying for a loan. Having the car repossessed is bad for her credit, but hot allowing it to be returned is even worse. At least if it is repossessed, she will be able to get a loan.
Her sister could also have some problems. Her sister probably won’t get into any trouble, but all that mail and those visits and calls can get pretty annoying. If it gets bad enough, her sister could have repo men and possibly police hanging out around her home.
Just remind her that, depending on the local laws, that car is most likely stolen (as it actually belongs to the bank until it is paid for) and Grand Theft Auto is not only a video game, but a felony.
If you really want to do something, tell your brother that he is dating a possible felon. Find out if she does in fact have any warrants, and report her to the police.
