Credit Report Job Scam
2010

Why do you need a credit report for a job application?
I applied for a job and a part of the pre appliacation was that I needed a credit report for my final application. Is this a scam trying to get my social security number or what?
Look at it this way, Credit reports are like report cards were back when we were in school only instead of showing how we do in our classes, show how they are responsible in managing our credit. When potential employees to see things as a commitment fee, late payments, collections, judgments, bankruptcies, liens, tax liens and judgments, liens or alimony In return, they know they are looking for someone who is not very responsible. As much as I do not agree with this practice if Given the huge amount of money that employers invest in employee training, I can understand why if you had 2 to choose one and had good credit and the other was wrong, they tend to go with the one who had good credit. Especially if the position involved handling money or inventory. And no, this is not a scam you need to give your employer your SIN for payroll anyway.
