let me ask you this ,do you agree with the news report that banks laughed at the credit card holders in there ?
MEETINGS ABOUT HOW THEY WERE SCREWING THE AVERAGE GUY! WITH $39 OVER LIMIT FEES,$29 LATE FEES AND SCALE INTEREST RATES FROM 9% TO 34%! AND YOU WANT TO DEFEND THESE PRIC”S, NOW THEY WANT A BAILOUT! ARE YOU CRAZY?
I don’t know if they were laughing. I wasn’t there. But I sure do know that they were pretty happy about it.
I had a 6% interest rate on a credit card…always paid my payment using a bank debit card by phone. One month I forgot to pay until the last day my payment was due…At 11:55, I called the payment number…there was a problem with the phone system. Three calls and 8 minutes later I finally was able to get my payment in. It was 3 minutes late. My interest rate went up to 24%. The thought of a company laughing about that is pretty upsetting.
But then again…I shouldn’t have waited to the last minute to pay either.
EDIT: Just me for President: Yeah, I called also…they refused to change it. And I was literally in tears…they hung up on me.
