A company takes a sample of it’s employees. They asked 25 employees for the number. please help ?
A company takes a sample of it’s employees. They asked 25 employees for the number of minutes per work day that they do personal business (on the job). As the survey was confidential and anonymous, we can be somewhat certain of the answers’ validity. The following data was gathered: (minutes per day)
27 23 14 15 19 26 33 29 28 27
31 33 17 27 31 26 22 29 31 22
12 13 26 32 27
As the statisticians for this employer, we must come up with a way to report to the President our findings. We have decided on a confidence interval. Your job is to design, execute and report our findings. I will grade you on your contributions, and there could be extra credit involved. One warning however, follow the whole discussion. Do not vary from the discussion and if you see something wrong, report it in the discussion thread, replying to the error statement.
Add all together and divide by 25 to come up with an average number of minutes employees spend on personal time during a work day.
Add all together and divide by 60 (minutes = hour) to find the total number of hours spent on personal time by 25 employees.
Multiply the total number of hours by an hourly rate of pay ($30.00) and you’ll find out how much money the company is paying a 25 member work crew just to goof off.
