Chase Credit Card trying to screw me help!?
Ok I recently received word from Chase that they were lowering my Credit limit on my card because of “severe late payment.” However, I downloaded my history from their site and every single month there is record of my automatic payment being made ON TIME! Now it was only about the minimum payment but it was still being paid and on time.
They added hidden fees like protection plans which keep adding up each month on there too which basically cancel out my payments.
I have sent them several messages with the downloaded activity attached. I dont care about the credit limit going down because I am not using the card anymore but I dont want LATE PAYMENTS on my credit report when I made the EVERY payment on time.
Help is appreciated.
If you don’t want the protection plan, cancel it. It isn’t a hidden fee if you know you’re paying it, is it? It’s a service, albeit a very stupid service designed to con people and get more money out of them.
Wait for the current statement period to close, then get a credit report or three from annualcreditreport.com. If there’s a record of lay payments there, dispute it with the credit reporting agencies.
