Credited twice for credit card fraud?
A month ago I was charged two separate occasions from a store on the other side of the continent at $500 a pop. When I saw this on my statement I immediately contacted my credit card provider and disputed. They immediately adjusted my balance and removed the two charges. A month later they issued a fraud adjustment in the amount of the two charges so my account is +$1000. Should I report this mistake or just hope they don’t notice it?
They’ll figure is out, and when they do you better still have that $1000.00 to pay them back. Just because someone made a deposit into your account does not make it your property, especially since you know it was an error. Report it and be a hero, spend it and be a sneak, don’t pay it back and you’re a criminal.
