If you have an account in collection, but it doesn’t show on your credit report?
What does it mean if you have an account on your credit report(s) that says you owe them nothing (charge-off) but the account was sold to a collection agency BUT the collection agency is not on any of your reports and you have no clue who they are… what does this mean? Any help is greatly appreciated. I am trying to repair my credit but it seems that there are holes in my reports. I am using the myFICO kit by Suze Orman and I love it so far, I’m just not understanding totally what I am looking at with the above situation.
Yes I know paying my debt wont fix my credit, I just need to be debt free. All these accounts have been charged off for over a year and say they have been sent to collections but the collection agencies are not on my report and haven’t contacted me, so how long do they have to “show up” on my report?
