Problems with recalled transmission?
Our car started having transmission problems a few months ago, so we went around town trying to find someone to fix it. We finally had to end up getting it rebuilt at the only company that would finance repairs for customers with less than desirable credit. The work has a year guarantee, but we have had serious problems with the transmission since and let’s just say we’ve also been having problems with the service at the repair shop. I have been contemplating reporting this to the BBB.
Then I find out there’s a recall on the transmission and we probably should have taken the car to a dealership for repairs.
Anybody know what to do here? Whom should we contact first? The transmission has been recalled but we’ve already had poor work done and are unsatisfied with the repairs and our treatment at the repair shop. We continue to have serious problems with the car and while we need it to work, I know that driving it is unsafe.
if it was a recalled transmission the dealership would have to fix it
