Credit Report Request Form
2010

What does a letter to a creditor need to say to get them to settle a debt for less money and to report it as?
never being late?
According to the fair credit act, a letter to settle including a check for less than the amount owed , conditions upon cashing the check are that the creditor must report to the credit bureaus as the account never having been late.
I heard such a letter was impractical and that they won’t reply, or honor such a request, but it can be done under certain circumstances, such as a very very late bill, or request by an attorney.
Anyone know of the form to write the letter in to state it clearly and send it to the creditor?
There is a pay for deletion letter that works. This is where you negotiate for a lower ballance (approximently 30 – 50%) And they in return send you a letter that you have to forward to the CRA.
Here it is.
