Has anyone actually used PayPal Buyer Credit and has a good experience?
Hello, I’ve recently went to http://www.ripoffreport.com and read up some really nasty reports on PayPal Buyer Credit about how people would get ‘ripped’ cause of a supposed 2 day late charge fee. Has anyone had a positive experience using this service or it’s just the people that do stupid things and then later complain? I wanted to sign up for it being that I have no credit, I’d start with that, but me being how I am, I usually scour the internet for reviews and such and by reading these reports, It doesn’t seem like it’s the best, I’m thinking about signing up for this but I want to make sure I won’t be another victim of ’scamming’. If anyone has any information, good experience (or bad), don’t hesitate to list why, any information is greatly appreciated!

I’ve had a positive experience myself. I got buyer credit a few years back and if you keep your balance really low it helps a lot! They eventually raise your limit as you maintain good payment history. I’ve only had to deal with my due date moving to before my payday and I’ve had to have them change it twice so I don’t run late.. Right now with about 500 in debt I owe 25.00 a month in payments. The more you borrow, the more your payments are. I’ve successfully used buyer credit at newegg.com and discover.com. It’s still somewhat limited and not everywhere that accepts paypal accepts buyer credit. It doesn’t always list buyer credit as an option in other words, though they do accept paypal.. I typically discover the issue at checkout as most places do not mention if they are buyer credit capable even though they do accept paypal.
I ordered the key chain to go with my paypal acct to help protect it.. Long as you don’t lose it, it’s great! I also recommend keeping your pc up to date with anti-virus and anti-malware prior to using the internet for anything like this..
I think it mainly depends on what your needs are and your limitations. I have not so great credit but with this I’ve been very content and always try to pay on time. If I remember right, you must put the date for payment 3 days later than when you log in to pay it (to give it time to process) so always log in a few days prior to your due date to stay safe. I’m not sure why some have had bad experiences but mine’s been great! Absolutely perfect for Christmas shopping when you’re as broke as me.. 
I tend to pay more each month to pay it down quicker as well. Best to you in your decision.. I think you’re doing the right thing by asking around with more than just one person/opinion.
