Can someone do a tenant screening on me without my knowledge?

my credit credits score was late 700s since Ive had & built my credit-and I’ve owned for 3+ years- the inquiry wasn’t authorized and apparently THESE inquiries are effecting my credit.Can i find out who requested this info. Unable to reach “cal coast”(the “landlord”)site that shows up on report
thats the problem, I was denied a card-so i requested a free credit report-on that report it showed the inquiring agency as tenant screening, which tells them everywhere ive ever lived, my SS#, my work history every single thing- but not the person who requested it.
“My take on it”who can authorize that kind of report without my permission? Licensed realtors?
you have what looks like experience in this field yet your feedback was awful- I already know something is “fishy” about the situation. I just want to know how to find out who wants my info

Write a hand written letter to the credit reporting agency stating that these entries are damaging to your credit and should be removed. By Law they must provide you with the proof you seek within a reasonable time or have the entries removed.
