Why would evicted tenants, try to pay landlord months after eviction? Does something show on credit report?
Prior evicted tenants called to set up payment plan to pay past rent that was never paid. I’m confused.
Say thank you and take the money.
If it was a court ordered eviction, it will be on their credit.
Make sure they pay in guaranteed funds. If you can, get them to sign a promissory note which spells out the initial amount they owe and tacks on interest. Charge them 5.5% or so (annually) and set a late fee date and amount.
OR, maybe they are good people and their conscience is making them do it.
