How many credits will this get me in college?
Just got my AP scores. This is my report for all exams taken. I will be taking six more next year.
European History- 5
US History- 5
Calculus AB- 5
Psychology- 5
Chemistry- 4
Biology- 3
(Back-to-backer was murderous)
Taking calc bc, comp science a, physics, world history, us gov, and english lang next yr.
How many credits will this get me at an ivy or other top 20 schools? How bout after next yr?
You can go to any college web site and see what AP subjects they accept, what score is needed and what credit they give.
Ivy league schools accept very few AP
from the Yale web site:
none for history-none they do not take this subject
1 credit for calc. AB
psych-none-they do not take this subject
chemistry-none you need a 5
biology-none you need a 5
All history – none is taken
Comp science- 4 or 5 on the AB test- 1 credit
physics- 4/5 on the C test for 1 credit- if you score 5 on the calc bc plus physics you will get 2 credits
english-5 will get you 2 credits.
check out a state school, they may give a lot more credits for AP exams and accept more AP subjects
