Once you pay for an item that has been in collections on my credit report how much time passes before disposal?
I asked a collection agency if you can remove the item from my report and was told I could not not do it, but just show a zero balance, but now the question is removed automatically after a certain period of time or that will haunt me forever?
By the Fair Credit Reporting Act (federal law) can not show accounts contemptuous of 7 years from the date of first delinquency which is 7 years and 180 days. So, disposal, and find the first time he left to pay the original creditor and add 7.5 years on that day and when you will get your report. And also good accounts can display more than 10 years.
