If in a marriage decree the bills were seperated between ex husband and I, who is responsible?
There is one bill in particular that my ex husband is supposed to be responsible, they keep coming after me. They are not even looking for him. If the marriage decree says that he is responsible why are they coming after me and not him. I’m in KY by the way and I don’t know the laws behind this. It is also showing up on my credit report.
so even though he is supposed to pay for it, and he don’t then it is my responsibility..
What is the point in seperating them then
I would get a hold of these credit companies and who ever is coming after you and get an address and send them a copy of the divorce decree also I would get a hold of the three major credit reporting agencies and do the same. I know this will all be a pain but it will probably be the only way, unless you have an attorney.
Good Luck!
