Why does my credit reports have different information ? (Help it is very stressing)?
On my Transunion report it says I have 3 derogatory accounts in collections, and my Equifax only has inquiries, no collections…I got a 500.00 loan from my bank today because they said I have no credit history (I’m only 18) so I’m confused can someone explain this to me..also when I was 16 I purchased lots of stuff on my check card and paypal account which added up to almost 2k…it was a stupid mistake..
Do you have a copy of your credit report? If not get one from each different bureau, chances are your Experien is different as well, All companies that extend credit do not all report to the same bureau, some creditors use Equifax, some use Experien and Transunion. Once you have all 3 you will have to send an inquiry to each bureau about any derogatory account, Transunion you can do online, Equifax you can mail, get on the web, search for credit dispute form, and all kinds of different sites will pop up, download a free one, fill it out, and send it in. You can find out and fix it yourself instead of spending money. Be sure and mail your copies Certified Letter, and keep a copy for your records. Then the bureau will investigate and report back to you what the deal is… just go from there. Good Luck
