One more question about Credit Reports?
So, I was checking some of my older accounts that should be nearing 7 years, and some of them that haven’t been touched, show as “last updated” in 2008. Does that mean that I have to wait 7 years for that!?!? How long can the companies keep updating the reports, especially if the account shows as closed with a $0 balance (but not a charge off).
I’m really sorry guys for all these questions. I know my report will take time to fix, but I’m trying to start the process now because I know in about 2-3 years I’ll need to get a car loan and maybe rent a place on my own.
It will fall off after 7 years of DOFD (Date of first Deliquency).
