Credit Reports Used By Banks

Fraud Credit Card Transaction! Somebody stole my wallet and bags from my car two days ago. They used these two
card to purchase and pay their bills by phone. I am sure this person can catch easily by bank of America and citi bank since they pay their own bills using my card.
I have already report to police and have a claim number. I am sure that this person know my area zip code. The last time I saw my stuff was rigth before I left the complex garage.
After bank catch the person, I want my wallet , my huge bags, and make-up stuffs, shoes, perfume, towel, and clothes was inside this bag.
Do I need to contact this stupid felony or Should I just give information to police department?
What if they have already throw away everything, what is the next step?
I am sure I will contact my apartment manager rigth away if the person live my apartment complex.
I am really and seriously frustrating and angry, please answer this question only someone who knows this situation or have experience like me.

It is unlikely that you will be able to recover the personal items that were stolen. But think about it. Do your REALLY want makeup that the crook had access to?
Your credit card companies will remove the charges from your account and probably back charge the merchant accounts. Hopefully, the police will be able to track down the crook and arrest them.
