credit report /car payment?
ok. my car was totaled. the bank said i owded them a car payment even though i didnt have the car anymore. So i didnt pay. the insurance company said they was only covering the depreciated value.and the gap insurance paid the rest that i owed besided this one car payment.the one payment had late fees and all. anyhow i paid it off which was like 350 bucks. come to find out the put it in collections on my credit report. can i get it taken off?
Try disputing the debt and see if it falls off. It has already been paid, so there is really no reason for them to bother answering your dispute.
It might not work, but it is worth a try.
