Disputing Credit Report Inaccuracies

Does your credit score go up when a negaative item has been deleted?

I disputed something on my credit report that was mine (the account had been closed and paid for 4 years) ~ I disputed because of an inaccuracy and just wanted it to be updated ~ When I got back the results of the investigation from the bureau the item was deleted

Does my credit score go up when something negative has been deleted. If so could anyone just give me a guess

Yes, it’s done a points system and every negative thing makes your score lower. So by having it deleted it raises your credit score.
