i have a mailed confirmation of an account paid off on my credit report.. and i want to fax it to the three credit agencies… do you know where i can find the number on their sites? (transunion, equifax, experian).. ive looked thouroughly at their sites but im not sure where the fax number is. Do you know what the number is?? or what their customer service numbers might be..?? thanks
They probably have several fax numbers for different departments, which is why they don’t list them all on their websites. Call their 800 customer service numbers and ask them to who and where you should fax it.
Not sure why you need to report this to them. If the account is paid off it will show up on your report eventually without you having to do anything. After all, this is what they are supposed to do. Wait a few weeks then get a copy of your credit report instead. See if the account shows up on it. It’s also good to review your entire report at least once a year to see if there are any other issues that need your attention.
