Scottrade made an inquiry to check my credit report.?
I was applying for a Scottrade account and I stopped applying there. I did provide my information and I was at the end, but I closed the web page because I did not feel comfortable applying. Then, they kept calling me and sending me stuff on the mail. Any way, I was checking my equifax annual report via annualcreditreport.com and I saw that they made an inquiry to check my credit score. I am mad because I have an account with Ameritrade and they never made an inquiry. This is the third inquiry I have since last November. First, I want to know is that is Scottrade suppose to do this even though my account was never officially opened. Second, how long does it take for an inquiry, so it is no longer a threat. Thank You
They only made an inquiry once. I want to know can they make an inquiry because all I wanted was to buy and sell shares
You need to call and email to stop making inqury on your credit report. Just tell them you never wanted account with them in first place. Also if they keep this up, call and emal better business bureau on the A.S.A.P
