How do I Obtain My Credit Report if I Live Outside the U.S.?
I’m an American living outside of the U.S. on a work assignment. I would like to obtain a copy of my free credit report from one of the three credit repositories-Transunion, Experian or Equifax but can’t get a copy of my credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com.
Every time I try to obtain the report, I get a message saying that I can’t get the report because I am using a computer outside of the U.S. I sent in the form that you can mail in, and got a letter stating that Equifax doesn’t send credit reports to non-U.S. addresses.
Any ideas how I can get the report? I want to make sure someone hasn’t stolen my info and all the reporting information is correct.
i would not use the company since they might be some bad stuff they might read accidently and take the wrong way — but haven’t you heard that song “that is what friends are for”!!!
