eviction in Washington State?
my daughter and her boyfriend are trying to rent an apartment. Everything in their credit was fine, but he had an eviction from 3 or 4 years ago.. (he thought his roommate took care of the outstanding balance) now he is trying to track it down and no one (apartment complex that reported eviction, debt collector listed as the debt
‘owner’, etc) has any record of this debt – he tried to get a hold of a human at Experian Credit Bureau to get an account number and all you get there is phone prompt dead ends.. how can he track down this information, or even better, reach a human at Experian.. also, how long does an eviction stay on your record- help!!
Evictions stay for 10 years. He will need to appeal to the judge that signed the court order to get it off his record, the credit agencies can not legally remove it themselves, it is a court ordered recording.
