Credit report agency has wrong info how do i fix it?

Okay about 5 months ago i checked my credit score and it showed that i had a colection against me, I immiately contacted Experian and tried to get info on the collection agency they didnt have none, the phone number they did have has been disconected. So i filed a dispute and they didnt do anything. So when i tried to check on the case now they said that i have to pay again and file a dispute again…i did that and now they said wait 45 days :( the reports is only good for 30 days, so if its not resolved by then i will have to pay again and dispute it. how sad!!! so what can i do? it really hurting my credit score and i cant really do much about it, its only 200 and im willing to pay it but i dont know where and who? and experian wont do anything about it?

please help

Here’s how to dispute.
Send a letter asking for validation of the account. They must prove to you the account is in fact yours and that you signed or agreed to pay.
You send that letter certified mail. You must have proof that they received it!
Wait 30 days. If no response, send a second letter! Wait 15 days.
If no response after 45 days, and they have not removed it from your credit reports, gather all the copies of letters, green certified mail post cards and mail it all to one of the credit bureaus.
You will need to include a letter asking for the item to be removed from your reports as the company has failed to respond to your request to validate the account.
One bureau is all it takes.
Here’s a website with more info, and a sample letter.
Good luck!
