Experian Credit Report Disputes Online

If collections are taken off one report, are they taken off all 3?

I recently went online and checked my credit report with all 3 agencies. I filed disputes for everything on my report with all 3 agencies in an attempt to have them taken off or settled. on my experian 3 collections were erased from my file. will these same collections be erased from the other 2 agencies?
i just wanted to add that the ones that got removed where in error- one was a medical when i had provided insurance info, one was with the cell phone company i have always been with and never been late on, and one was with a phone company that my ex husband opened up in my name!

Quite possibly. If those 3 collection agencies did not verify the dispute for Experian, it’s unlikely they will do so for the other 2 credit bureaus.

Edit: I have to EXTREMELY disagree with BDancer here. As you saw here, disputing derogatory accounts can often get them removed even if they are legitimate. If they do try to re-insert a previously removed listing they must notify you within 5 days of doing so or they are in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Trust me, you did exactly what you should have done.
