How do I update and “clean up” the information on my credit report?

I was just wondering if its possible to updated and “clean up” the information on my credit report. The first thing I would like to do is update my name, address, and employment information. I would like to discard the old address and employment information as I keep getting mail sent to my old addresses. Also my credit report is like 10 pages long. It’s still showing a lot of old accounts that I had years ago. Those accounts are all closed and have been for years. How do clear all those old closed accounts (all in good standing) so when go online I can just see all current/active accounts. It’s annoying scrolling through pages and pages of outdated info. I would like to do this for all 3 credit report agencies (equifax, experian, & transunion). Please help…

You can update information, but will not be able to delete any of the old addresses and employment info. In order to “add” new info, you can get your 3 reports from www.myfico.com, if you haven’t gotten your free report from www.annualcreditreport.com, and “dispute” the information. Experian is done online, TU and EQ you will print out and mail! And you can not “cleanup” old closed accounts, they usually stay on your report up to 10 years.
