Why would it take this long for GMAC to?
I had a truck repo’d in Jan 2006 almost 2 years ago. I spoke to my agent at GMAC on the phone and left a number to call me back. It took them until Oct 2007 to have a collection agency to harrass me.. For 1 year plus, the debt on my experian credit report reported a balance of $0 was due. This as you can see is why i didn’t know. They did not contact me for the auction as they i believe are required to so i can attend the auction in attempt to purchase my vehicle back.. Do you believe that GMAC has made a mistake somewhere and they know?
I don’t think they have to let you know about the auction. You should have gotten letters telling you about how and in what time period you could buy your truck back.
