CIC Triple Advantage Charges / FreeCreditReport.com?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else had their credit card charged by this company? I did some searching online and understand a lot of people did not know about the monthly fee they bill you for check you “free” credit report.
The thing is, I didn’t even sign up for anything! I wasn’t checking my credit nor need to check my credit. I didn’t even go on their website!!!! No one else uses my card except for me.
Anyone else a victim to this? (…the ones that didn’t even go near freecreditreport.com) ??
Btw, I’d already called my bank to dispute the charges. they charged my card three times: May 26, June 8, and June 18. WTH?!
I had the same issue with “Free” Credit Report. My credit card kept getting charged every month for 12 dollars. What i advise is to call FreeCreditReport’s customer service and urge them to stop the charges. Warning though, I had to call twice until they closed my account as they ignored my first request. Be persistent especially since you claim you didn’t even apply for it.
