credit report not free???????
we have applied for a mortgage loan before (a couple years back). at that time the guy gave us each a copy of our credit report and wrote down some notes for things for us to do to fix our credit.
we just applied for a mortgage loan and this lady is trying to charge us $28 for the reports. aren’t we entitled to the report?
Nope, the lender paid for the report. Some may give you a copy, maybe at closing.
You can get free copies annually of your credit reports from each of the three credit bureaus thru AnnualCreditReport.com. The reports are free; scores are not.
