After putting a fraud alert on my credit, how do I get my free credit report online?
You are allowed to get a free annual credit report once a year by going to http://www.annualcreditreport.com.
But DON’T do it yet!
You are also allowed to receive a free report if you believe you are the victim of identity theft, and you have filed a fraud alert. So don’t waste your free report, make them give you the fraud alert…then wait several months and check it again with your free annual report.
