Why can’t i get my credit report from annualcreditreport.com?
I know I’m entitled to a free credit report at annualcreditreport.com, but for some reason it will not let me access it. It says there is either a freeze on my credit (I haven’t put one on), a fraud alert (haven’t done that either), or the information on file doesn’t match the information I gave. If that’s true, I’d like to get it fixed but I can’t since they won’t let me see it. I don’t have any credit cards but I wanted to check my credit report to be sure no one is using my identity to obtain credit. help please!
should i put a fraud alert on my credit report? i have no credit cards or loans so i don’t think i should have a credit history…the response i got from the bureaus just seemed strange to me..
If you have no credit then you will not be able to access a credit report. At least that’s what I think because I had once tried to check my credit report just after turning 18 out of curiosity and was asked to contact customer service. I called the number the guy i spoke with told me that I wouldn’t be able to view a credit report because I had no credit. That was 4 years ago though.
