Ftc Free Credit Report Website
2010
When you’re on the equifax website where do you click to get your free credit report?
You can get your credit report at these places, but they make it so confusing:
www.annualcreditrepot.com
http://www.ftc.gov/credit/
www.equifax.com
The www.annualcreditrepot.com website is down
Actually the person above is incorrect. Legislation was passed last year to allow consumers to get access to their credit report for FREE through their sponsored website http://www.annualcreditreport.com . It’s pretty self explanatory. On the homepage you will have to choose your state from the drop down menu. Once you do, it will ask some basic info from you in order to confirm your identity. But don’t worry you won’t have to input credit card info. Once you enter your info, it will give you the option of choosing any of the 3 credit bureau reports. You can obtain one from each credit bureau every year. Some people choose to get them all at once to compare, or you can choose one at a time in order to spread them out over the year. Just choose Equifax if that’s the one that you currently are looking for. It may ask you to verify some accounts from your file, to further verify your identity, and then you will be able to access it instantly. Good luck!
