Government Credit Report Yearly

Should elements of the new “credit card bill” be applied to taxes?

People’s credit card statements now contain express information on how long it would take to pay off the card with a minimum payment, and how it could be paid off in three years.

Should every taxpayer receive a yearly statement of the federal budget, national debt, and the taxpayer’s share of that debt? Why do public companies have to send out annual reports to shareholders, but the federal government doesn’t have to mail the annual budget to taxpayers?

This is not a rhetorical question. Information on any specific proposals on doing this introduced in Congress would be very much appreciated.

The information is publicly available. If individual taxpayers focused on it, though, they’d probably revolt.

Oh wait – they are already!
