Credit reporting Agencies?
I just pulled my Credit Report and I found that I had a credit card that was sent to collections, but it shows up 3 separate times under three different company names. Is this legal? Is there a way to have them only show it once. It is not right that I have one bad account and it looks like there are three bad accounts. Any advice would be great!!
What has happened is your account has been sold from one collection company to another to another. It’s perfectly legal for all three to be listed in your report the only thing is at least the first two must report your account as paid with a $0 balance. If the don’t you can dispute them and get that changed but as far as removing them from your report that won’t happen since the information is true and correct.
