If i reapply for a new credit account number, will that lower my credit score?
Hi,
Credit card vendor closed my account, but I paid off my bills (because my ex used the card and never pay it in full and i filed it as fraud). I would like to reopen my account. But i was told to reapply. If i reapply for a new account number, will that lower my credit score?
I am asking because -
I saw my credit report, it said “closed by credit vendor”. I want to change that to “open”…
Please advise me before I make any mistake.
Nah, doesn’t matter. In fact more credit accounts usually lead to higher score.
