Order Credit Reports By Phone
2010

Does a credit report make sense to anyone?
I read an article that states that if a credit card company drops you (for lack of activity, etc) that your credit score would be significantly affected. Does this even make sense to anyone? If I make 100,000 dollars a year and I’m dropped by a cc, does that mean I’m not gonna get a loan for a 12,000 dollar car? Ridiculous.
Seems nowadays if you fart sideways, your credit is affected. Who controls this and why?
Also, I applied for a new bank account online and they wouldn’t let me because Equifax told the bank that the information they had on me did not match the information I provided. I called Equifax. Could not get a human on the phone. In order to find out if it’s correct information, I have to pay for a credit report from them. What a scam. We’re all being scammed.
Lets take one thing at a time.
Yes credit reports make perfect sense to me but then I work in finance and understand how they work and why.
Scores are based on the following factors only;
1. Payment history 35%
2. Time in bureau 15%
3. Types of credit 10%
4. New credit 10%
5. Debt to credit ratio 30%
Notice income and net worth are not mentioned because thay have nothing to do with how people manager their credit.
I see credit applications every month from people that make $10,000.00 to $15,000.00 a month and have never paid anybody on time in their lives.
As far as Equifax is concerned you can reach a real person at 800-685-5000.
