Labour’s Carbon Credits – A Good Idea…?
…or just another example of Labour’s completely bonkers plan to ensure we all end up paying more tax? Can anyone explain to me how this scheme is supposed to work to help the environment. especially if India and China aren’t part of the plan?

Ministers should go ahead with the idea of personal “carbon credits” to meet emissions targets, MPs have said.
The Environmental Audit Committee said the scheme would be more effective than taxes for cutting carbon emissions.
The committee’s report criticised the government for shelving the proposal following a preliminary study.
Under the scheme people would be given an annual carbon limit for fuel and energy use – which they could exceed by buying credits from those who use less.
That’s just another scheme devised by a bunch of losers who want something to talk about, to justify their pathetic existence, and the salaries they receive!
As and when it can be absolutely proven that present Climate Change is solely due to Man-made carbon emissions, and not some natural phenomenon, only then will I believe that politicians actually mean what they say, and say what they mean! Until that time, I’ll treat everything I hear on this matter from that quarter, with a very large dose of salt!
For the record, Climate has always changed periodically- it did so before Man evolved, and it will continue to do so long after Man’s time on this planet, is over. To believe it has only happened now- in our life-time- is a monumental ego-trip, and one that detracts from a proper analysis of what confronts us!
Whilst I am convinced that Man-made damage to the environment, through over-exploitation and pollution, is excessive and ought to be diminished, I am not convinced by the carbon emissions argument, which goes way back to Ralph Nader in the ’60s, in California!
I realise it is an act of faith for many that Mankind is solely responsible for Global Warming and Climate Change- it cannot be proven! And for some of us, like myself, it is a delusion, and scientific nonsense!
Though we cannot fight Climate Change, we can learn to adapt, and live with its consequences- and we must if our species is to survive! The sooner we start on that course, the better!
But as for Carbon Credits and off-sets? Come on! What do you guys do for brains?
