How do I put something on someone’s credit as a landlord?
I had a tenant steal appliances from my rental property and left the place nasty. How do I contact the credit bureaus and add the fees to her credit report? Do I need a lawyer?
You need to sue them first, then the courts record it with the burauas and you can collect or garnish wages, depending on what the judge allows you. In CA I have to try to collect for a year because I can ask to start garnishing wages.
Please follow through, the rest of us landlords need a warning that this tenant is scum.
