Renting without credit checks?
Im wondering if someone can give me some advice on finding apartments or homes to rent in the Marietta GA area without the credit checks. I have student loans and a charge off (one payment of $350 that I thought was tottaly paid off) from my vehicle that shows up on my report. Im afraid of being turned down after paying application fees. Im currently in Michigan and I need to be there by mid February. Any advice would be appreciated!!!
You will probably get lucky. Many of the nicest apartment complexes around Marieta are half full. They will still run a credit check. It is smart of you to not pay the application fee before the credit check. So you have to take a copy of your credit with you. Or tell them everything and write on your application check “Money to be refunded if i am denied because of credit”.
Many private landlords do not run credit checks. You can check for the ads where you are dealing directly with the owner.
Most “roommate” scenarios do not involve a credit check. You are renting a room in a house with kitchen privileges.
