Finally got my Judgement Vacated?
After a long, drawn out battle with a bottom feeding debt collection agency, I finally WON and they are returning all monies to my bank account.
On the stipulation, they said that they aren’t going to report the judgement being vacated (basically, thru the legal BS, its not “thier job”, but it was “thier job” to put a judgement on my credit report, right? Jerks.)
Anyway, they provided me with the address to all three Credit Agencies. My question is what exactly do I write to the agencies and what do I need to send them? Of course I have the notice to vacate, but is there anythins else I need to provide? Thanks!
The entry has to be removed by whomever posted it on your credit report. The collection agency did not put the judgment on your credit report, so they cannot remove it.
Judgments are public records, and as such they are placed on credit reports by agencies that collect public information for the credit bureaus.
With that in mind, convice the credit bureaus to remove the entry for the same reason that the judgment was vacated.
