top three credit reporting companies
How do I fight a big electric company who make a mistake and are footing me the bill?

My electric company gave me false information on three different occasions. I didn’t realize the error until I received a cut off notice. So I called and they told me that their operators had made mistakes and even told me that they were able to pinpoint the operators who made the mistakes. I paid the outstanding balance. I asked them to remove the negative information from my credit report and they haven’t. On top of that, they are charging me late fees that I would have never accumulated if I hadn’t been misinformed. How can I make them do what is right?

This not going to be easy.
First you need to dispute the ctatements in your credit report with each reporting agency. Send a letter outlining exactly what happened, and have it in your file. anyone pulling a credit report, will see the dispute.
Secondly, you need to try and see someone in person at the utility. see if you can make an appointment to meet with a customer service MANAGER. Be nice, and be firm. If nothing happens, end the meeting with “I’m sorry we cant resolve this, without me filing a formal complaint with the state public utilities commission. This is the biggest horror to a utility. The paperwork required to answer a complaint would kill a small forest. If that doesnt work, then followthrough and file a complaint. (Add the complaint to your credit report dispute as well).
